Privacy policy
Short and to the point: what data we process when you use the website or contact the workshop. This is a translation – the Polish version is binding.
Book a time that suits you Message or call: +48 570 585 582
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Wasabi Service, Rakoniewicka 14, 60-111 Poznań. Contact on personal data matters: [email protected], phone +48 570 585 582.
2. Contact via WhatsApp, phone or email
When you contact us, we process the data you give us – e.g. your name, phone number, details and photos of your car, and a description of the fault. We do this to reply to your enquiry, book a visit and carry out the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to issue accounting documents (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and – where necessary – to establish, pursue or defend legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The “Book a visit” form on this website does not send any data to our server – it only prepares the text of a message that you send yourself in the WhatsApp app.
3. WhatsApp
The WhatsApp buttons take you to the WhatsApp service (WhatsApp Ireland Limited). Messages you send there are also processed by that provider – in line with the WhatsApp privacy policy.
4. Google Maps
The Google map only loads after you click the “Show Google map” button. Your browser then connects to Google servers (Google Ireland Limited), which may process data such as your IP address and set cookies – in line with Google’s privacy policy. Until you click, the map does not load.
5. Cookies, statistics and ads
We keep visit statistics in Google Analytics 4 and measure the effectiveness of our ads in Google Ads (both tools: Google Ireland Limited) – only if you agree to it in the window that appears on your first visit. You can choose “I agree” (statistics and ads), “Statistics only” or “No, thanks”. Until you give consent, the Google scripts don’t load and the website doesn’t store any cookies.
Once you consent, Google Analytics stores the cookies _ga and
_ga_22KJ5GJRT6 in your browser (valid for up to 2 years) and collects data such as
your IP address, the pages you visit, button clicks (e.g. WhatsApp, phone, directions), your approximate location (city),
your device and browser, and where you came to the website from. This tells us how many people use the website and how.
If you choose “I agree”, the Google Ads tag also loads. When you reach the website from one of our Google ads, it stores
the _gcl_au cookie (valid for up to 90 days) and tells Google Ads that you clicked the WhatsApp button (a
so-called conversion). This tells us which ads bring us customers, so we don’t pay for the ones that don’t work.
We don’t use this data for remarketing – we don’t “follow” you with ads on other websites.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google may transfer data to the USA – on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Data Privacy Framework).
You can withdraw your consent at any time – with the button below or via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page. We then delete the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies from your browser. Your choice itself (consent or no consent) is saved in your browser’s storage so that we don’t ask again.
Regardless of this, the website’s server automatically records technical data about every visit in its logs: IP address, date and time, page address (with the campaign tag when you arrive from a Google ad), the address of the page you came from, and your browser and device type.
When you click the WhatsApp, phone, directions or write-a-review button, or the language switch, your browser sends our server a short note: which button was clicked, where it was and on which page. It goes into the same logs. This happens whatever you chose in the cookie window, but without cookies and without any identifiers – the website stores nothing in your browser for it, and this note doesn’t go to Google.
We keep the logs on the website’s server for 90 days. They are used to keep the website secure and working properly, and for simple statistics: how many people visit the website, where they come from and which contact buttons are used. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – you can object by writing to [email protected].
6. Customer reviews on the website
We show selected reviews published publicly on Google Maps and Fixly – with the first name and the initial of the surname (Google) or the first name and town (Fixly), as on the source site. On the English pages we show our translation of each review together with the Polish original. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing how customers rate us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you would like us to remove your review from this website, write to [email protected].
7. Recipients of data
Data may be received by companies that support us technically (hosting, email and – with your consent – Google Analytics and Google Ads) or provide accounting services to us, as well as by public authorities – where the law requires it.
8. How long we keep data
- correspondence – for as long as it takes to handle the enquiry and the service, and then until claims become time-barred,
- accounting documents – for the period required by tax law,
- server logs (including the button-click notes) – 90 days,
- visit data in Google Analytics linked to a cookie – no longer than 14 months,
- the Google Ads cookie – up to 90 days; conversion data is kept by Google in line with its own policy.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing and to data portability, as well as the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent to statistics and ads at any time – this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it was withdrawn. You can also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).
